Bush maintains anti-Trump campaign
“Anchor baby” was on that list.

Former Florida Governor and Republican candidate for president Jeb Bush greets supporters at a VFW town hall event in Merrimack, New Hampshire, August 19, 2015.
He also noted that language about “babies” has a long history in U.S. politics, including terms like “welfare baby” that have been used in the past. “And, look, I have some personal experience with this as a dad, and it is the most heartbreaking thing in the world to have to go through”.
“Let me tell you something: I am done with the hyphenated Americans”, Jindal said to huge applause.
He continued: “It’s pithy and I think it evokes some images that – it’s a code word”. “As we get into the fall and winter and people actually start making their decision and the paid element of this campaign begins, that’s going to pay dividends”. “Since these children automatically qualify as American citizens, they can later act as a sponsor for other family members”. According to one friend, Trump blames Bush and Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim for Univision’s decision in June to cancel a $13.5 million contract with Trump to televise his Miss USA pageant. In one of his testiest exchanges to date, Bush pushed back against reporters today in Keene, NH who asked if he thought the cycle – referencing to the American-born children of undocumented immigrants – was offensive.
“It’s all about him“, Bush said.
TRUMP: You mean it’s not politically correct and yet everybody uses it.
The anchor baby term was thrown out on the 2016 presidential campaign trail by Republican front-runner Donald Trump.
“I don’t have a famous last name, my daddy wasn’t president, I don’t have my own reality TV show, I’m not the best speaker, I’m not the best looking candidate”. “People like Marco Rubio, by the way, that’s how he came”.
If people could see him in person, as she did, they could change their minds, Botnick added. “They’re not just statistics”.
Allen referred to a recent Politico poll that asked Iowa and New Hampshire GOP insiders whether they believed Bush’s campaign was in trouble in their state.
Plus, Trump’s got his own countertactics against Bush’s ideology attack. They’re not just statistics.-Florida Sen.
Trump is apparently referring to a language guide that was sent to Republican lawmakers in 2013 by the Hispanic Leadership Network (HLN). Bush is on the advisory committee and was co-chairman of the group at the time.
Bush criticising Trump is a bit ironic as the bombastic GOP candidate also used the term “anchor babies” earlier this week. “I’m blessed to have a brother that loves me and wants to help me”.

This is comical. Bush obviously is uncomfortable with the term, but he’s falling in the polls and needs to pander, so he needs to talk about it, but he doesn’t know what to call them. It differentiates children of undocumented immigrants from children of US citizens despite both being legal citizens of America.
