Bush offers plan to repeal, replace federal health care law
Bush’s entry highlights the extent of lingering Republican opposition to President Barack Obama’s signature legislative achievement, even as its provisions continue to kick in and the Supreme Court earlier this year upheld a key provision of the law.

“Obamacare, a government takeover of more than one-sixth of the American economy, epitomizes why Americans are fed up with Washington”.
The document contains no specific details on how many people could be left without insurance, but the former governor is expected to release more details Tuesday during a three-day swing through New Hampshire. “Jeb believes we must repeal Obamacare and offer a conservative vision and plan of health care for the future”.
Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders have also focused on the affordability of health care, and they’ve turned the high cost of a few drugs into a campaign issue.
Under this plan, states would enable access to affordable plans in their states, allow a continuous coverage guarantee for individuals with pre-existing conditions and set up “a transition plan for the 17 million individuals entangled in Obamacare”, according to a summary of Bush’s plan released by his campaign.
Bush also wants to tax a few health premiums that are paid by employers.
Polls show Bush attracting single-digit support in New Hampshire, where he’s trailing GOP rivals Donald Trump, Carly Fiorina and Ben Carson.
On Friday night, Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush concluded a town hall meeting in Barrington, N.H., by taking a question from and praying with Rod Webber, an activist and frequent attendee at Bush campaign events nationwide. A similar initiative in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, known as the Cadillac Tax, is facing repeal efforts from both Republican and Democratic legislators.

Experts say any plan to repeal the federal mandates and reduce insurance subsidies under the current law would increase the number of uninsured.
