Most of the money came in through dozens of traditional fundraising events, where the price of entry was often the legal maximum donation of $2,700. Bernie Sanders, raised $26 million and had $25 million in cash on hand.
He cited the 44-year-old’s unique combination of youth, political talent, a plan to win, a record sufficiently conservative for most Republicans and a history of having “always outperformed expectations”, starting with his 2010 election to the Senate. That’s reflected in how they’re giving to the candidates, too.
Carson apparently is spending the money at a quick pace, as he tries to sustain his momentum. Still, Carson had about $11 million in available cash as of September 30. It included U.S. Rep. Elizabeth Esty, D-Conn., who represents Newtown and was elected a month before the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings in 2012. “So get over it”.
The Paul campaign sent out a memo Thursday defending its status in the race, saying a few “are pushing a false narrative that Senator Rand Paul (SRP) is on the ropes”. In the year’s first six months, Bush raised more than $100 million for Right to Rise, which aims to spend most of that on TV ads. By the time North Dakota holds its nomination contest on April 1, almost two-thirds of the Republican delegates will have been awarded. Thursday’s medical report didn’t list Bush’s weight. Bush took in $7.1 million from Jeb Bush & Associates.
Jeb Bush entered the Republican race as a fundraising powerhouse.
Bush raised more money in the third quarter than rivals Marco Rubio or Ted Cruz, but both have more money than him in the bank – Rubio with $11 million, Cruz with $13.5. “It’s my understanding there will be a bigger emphasis on fundraising this next quarter”. “And he’s building the best organization”, Gidwitz said. Lamar Alexander and Gov. Bill Haslam, said the list of supporters shows Bush’s commitment and ability to win Tennessee.
“Ya he would support a law that would increase transparency and disclosure”, Miller said. They say Bush was responding to a broader question about relying on government in times of crisis, including to prevent gun violence.
The totals raised on each side by the candidate-aligned super PACs are unclear, since they do not have to report their fundraising until January 31. Their super PAC counterparts can wait until January to disclose their newest financial details and donor names.

Those groups – which, unlike campaigns, can accept unlimited contributions from donors – cannot formally work with the candidates, but are stacked with trusted advisers.
