Bush slashing spending, shifting staff amid campaign woes
To worry about the Republican presidential candidate’s sluggish poll numbers.

Jeb Bush speaks throughout the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in National Harbor, Md., Fri., February 27, 2015.
Jeb Bush’s (R) presidential campaign is enacting “across-the-board” pay cuts for his staff, Bloomberg Politics reported Friday.
Benavides said the Michigan fundraiser is Bush’s only stop in the state.
Bush has said his campaign is making an especially intense effort in New Hampshire, site of the race’s first primary on February 9.
With new reports that Jeb’s campaign is hemorrhaging cash and slashing staff salaries, it might be time to start asking when, not if, Jeb will drop out.
“God gives us our personalities and our looks and we can’t help that”, said Robert Rowe, a New Hampshire state representative who is switching his allegiance from Bush to Ohio Gov. John Kasich. Bush has utilized charter flights so that he can fundraise in three different states in one day. Tim Scott, drawing an audience of more than 500 people, about twice the number Bush normally attracts on the campaign trail.
In particular on the issue of Syrian refugees, Bush has talked about an American duty to take in refugees – in particular persecuted Christians – in a striking contrast to Trump’s comments that he would send refugees back to where they came from.
That reaction explains why Bush, after torturing himself for a week in May over a question about whether he still supported the Iraq invasion his brother authorized, spent the past week invoking his brother in a battle with Donald Trump, the New York real estate mogul who has been atop most Republican primary polls since July.
The Lie: It’s pretty clear by this point that The Donald and Jeb Bush don’t like each other.
Trump’s team announced Friday that Joe Gruters, the vice chair of the Floridad Republican Party, will serve as his Florida campaign chair. “Jeb is decisively laying out an agenda that will create jobs and opportunity in Alabama, and that’s I am endorsing him for President”.
“This is a place where American leadership is desperately needed”, Bush said earlier this month.
Bush is trying to underscore the seriousness of his campaign, as compared with Trump. Supporters hope the changes will be enough to keep Bush afloat through a long, and so far surprising, campaign. I mean, it’s an open highway.
Zeidman said those raising money for Bush will need to work as hard as they have worked in the past to make sure the money continues to pour in.

“If you’re telling me that there’s a gene pool that unless you’re in that gene pool you can’t be president of the United States, there’s something inherently wrong with the country”, Langone said during an October. 13 interview on Bloomberg TV.
