Businessman finds iPhone which fell out of plane during US flight

An iPhone that fell out of a private airplane from a height of 9,300 feet was found in working condition. When they arrived in the vicinity they had to trek across a ranch road and a fence, only to find it under a mesquite tree, guided by a nearby donkey.

The Wichita Falls Times Record News (http://bit.ly/1JTt5AS ) reported Thursday that Ben Wilson says his cellphone still works. “The donkey pointed out where it was”.

He had been travelling home with a pilot in a Beechcraft Bonanza, a small light aircraft, when a pressure drop caused the passenger door to slightly open. Then Wilson used his Find My iPhone app and discovered that the device was still alive.

“After we got back, I looked for it on the floor [of the plane] and in my briefcase but couldn’t find it”. “Later I checked the iCloud and could see it was outside of Joplin (Texas)”, Kidwell said.

Aside from some scratched corners the phone was apparently unharmed and Wilson accounts its hardiness to the Mophie battery case he’d placed it into previously.
