Busy Highways Expected as Labor Day Weekend Comes to a Close

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) has released statistics on the number of DUI-related arrests and deaths in San Diego County over the Labor Day weekend, as local police ramp up DUI enforcement.

From Friday to Monday, 11 people died in the same number of crashes; that’s two fewer crashes and three fewer deaths as compared to past year, according to the release.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol says its troopers conducted almost 1,700 traffic stops on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Fox passed when the vehicle she was a passenger in was hit head on.
