Since making his retirement official, Bryant has largely won over the fan base – both in Los Angeles and on the road.
Trackers of leaguewide popularity are acutely aware of a different notion: The Lakers are among the NBA’s best.
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – Kobe Bryant may not have made the difference. Cleveland is next at 18,979.
The Lakers’ point total was their second-lowest this season and the lowest by an Oklahoma City opponent since the Thunder beat the Miami Heat 93-75 on March 22. Golden State is the most popular. After tearing his left Achilles tendon in April 2013, Bryant returned in eight months for six more games before needing season-ending surgery on his left knee. While Commissioner Adam Silver has said Bryant deserves an All-Star spot, Bryant said he would be “completely fine” if he was not voted in by fans or selected by coaches.
Garnett, now in his 21st season is the league’s longest tenured player who was drafted in the 1995 class. They felt that the loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder was because the other team executed better during the game.
Bryant said he expects the megastar trend of the National Basketball Association to continue in the wake of Michael Jordan, LeBron James and himself, saying, “I think there’s going to be a player in the next 10 years that’s going to rise above it all”.
On Monday’s NBA-sanctioned conference call with worldwide media, Kobe Bryant raised a few eyebrows when asked to list the top five players that he had faced. Julius Randle struggled against OKC, going 1 for 7 with 2 points but getting 7 rebounds in 26 minutes. There was a standing ovation.
“Laker Nation: After losing to the Thunder by 40pts [Saturday], for the first time I’m at a loss for words”.
It only got worse from there for Los Angeles. I’ve always liked that about him. “If they did, we’d be the first team in history with a bunch of 20-year-olds that would have gotten it before anybody else”.
“Kobe’s fearless”, Scott said.
“It’s a moot point and for me it’s pretty much of a shallow argument”.
“(If) I feel I can make a contribution and my body is up for it, I would love to play”. “He wasn’t bland, he wasn’t neutral”, Corb said. We didn’t come to compete, and they just played harder than we did.

“Clearly we’re not playing at the kind of level that a player of Kobe’s age and experience finds challenging, kind of like there’s no light at the end of the tunnel”, said Kupchak, who didn’t learn of Bryant’s decision until Sunday afternoon.
