Byron is the fifth consecutive driver to win the Truck series race at New Hampshire from the pole.

“It’s a great run for our team”, he said. Burton had four. Next race: Citizen Soldier 400, October 2, Dover International Speedway, Dover, Delaware. This year, he picked up where he left off with three wins, six top fives, and 13 top 10s. In July, Kenseth also won the most recent New Hampshire race, capping a dominant afternoon for Toyota, which saw its five main drivers combine to lead 299 of 301 laps.

Truex’s career has skyrocketed while former MWR teammate Clint Bowyer has suffered through the worst season of his career as part of a one-year stopgap deal with HScott Motorsports. A victor of five races in three different motorsports series at NHMS during his legendary career, Tony Stewart will now forever be honored for his achievements on the 1.058-mile oval. Byron lives in a dorm at his Virginia college and seems to have found a home in victory lane. Jones was leading the race on the next-to-last restart on Lap 180-of-201 when he failed to keep pace with the pace vehicle, forcing him to fall back to third before the race resumed. If a driver is good at one track, they’ll likely be good on the other.

William Byron: The victory means he’s automatically qualified for the next round of the Chase, which begins October 29 at Texas Motor Speedway.

“It’s not anything new to these guys and this team to be able to go to victory lane”, Busch said. It’s changed a little bit.

“If we’re going nitpick like that, you need to put them all through there”. “That’s our ultimate goal”.

But Byron regained the lead from Bell on Lap 69 and held it the rest of the way.

“He’s been a huge influence, especially recently since I’ve been connected with him and driving for him”, Bell says.

Joe Gibbs Racing’s Erik Jones and Daniel Suárez should be considered among the drivers to beat for the NASCAR Xfinity Series championship.

“It’s a special place for us”.

NASCAR expanded its Chase format this season to include the feeder Xfinity and Truck Series, its champions now crowned in a four-driver shootout at the season finale.

It doesn’t appear that’s the case.

Edwards then turned the fastest lap and won the pole; Kenseth starts eighth.

I would say they are going to be hard to beat especially when it comes time to be at Miami.

William Byron aced the inaugural Chase race in NASCAR’s Trucks Series. He needs to go and show once again to his competitors that he’s got one of the strongest cars and that he’s one of the best drivers.

This came a week after NASCAR made a pre-Chase announcement that lower-tier LIS infractions would be more stringently enforced. Martin Truex Jr. followed his Chase win at Chicagoland Speedway with a solid qualifying run to join Edwards on the front row. It’s really cool to get a win here to open the Chase.

NASCAR officials said Wednesday that the penalty impact wasn’t fair across the board, and it eliminated the rules that resulted in those penalties. “From the outside perspective of it kind of taints your win”.

“Everybody wants as much as they can get, but is ten-thousandths worth thousandths of a second?” It was such a little thing. I can’t thank these guys enough. Feel like we’ve been close before and there’s no other track I’d rather win at right now. Yes, it was the rule. “As you get faced with these situations a few times, I think you learn”. To get a full time ride in NASCAR, Truex told 22News it can be frustrating.

“We’ll move on and we’ll race like we always have – very hard but always clean”, Truex said. We’ve all seen him grow up in the sport.
