The company announced on Tuesday that it will begin to offer both Showtime and CBS’s new standalone streaming services to its internet subscribers, allowing them to watch programming from the two networks without subscribing to a traditional TV package and renting a set-top box. And in April, it became the first pay TV provider to distribute Hulu to its broadband customers.

Cablevision serves more than 3 million customers in the New York market area. Cablevision was the first cable company to strike a semi-exclusive deal to sell HBO’s new HBO Now service, and back in April the company announced a suite of new cordcutter broadband promos that include a free HD OTA antenna.

The company’s second-quarter revenues also rose, but that was the result of higher prices to help offset higher costs and lost video subscribers.

“This comprehensive agreement builds on our strong relationship with CBS and insrures that every Optimum customer gets the highly popular CBS content they want across multiple platforms and screens”, Tom Montemagno, Cablevision’s executive vice-president of programming, said in a statement.

Cablevision Systems Corporation and CBS Corporation have signed a broad-based multi-year content carriage agreement.
