The Mets trailed by two in the ninth and 11th innings against the Phillies.

NY took the lead in the seventh against Phils reliever Michael Mariot.

NY stopped a three-game skid and remained tied with San Francisco for the NL wild-card spots.

Mets: LHP Matz was scratched from his scheduled start on Friday because of continued discomfort in his left shoulder. The Mets had hoped Matz would return from a five-week absence to give this largely untested rotation a boost, but that plan was scrapped following the lefty’s latest throwing session. Pinch-hitter Lucas Duda appeared to win the game for the Mets in the bottom of the 10th, but his ripped line drive to right field soared about a foot foul of the pole. The Phils took another two-run lead in the top half of the eleventh, but NY got a three-run blast off the bat of Asdrubal Cabrera to secure the walk-off victory.

NY trailed 6-4 when pinch-hitter Brandon Nimmo singled off Jeanmar Gomez leading off the ninth and Reyes sent changeup over the right-field wall with one out. With two outs and runners at the corners, Familia gave up a soft single to right to A.J. Ellis for the lead. Maikel Franco worked a full count in the next at-bat and belted a three-run home run to right center field, putting the Phillies up by two, 6-4. The blast was only the fourth allowed by Reed in 76 appearances this season.

“You’ve got to turn the page immediately”, manager Terry Collins said, meeting the press about three hours before this series opener against Philadelphia.

The Mets now lead the Giants and Cardinals by a half-game for the final two playoff spots in the National League.

After setting the Mets down 1-2-3 in the first, Adam Morgan allowed a lead-off single to T.J. Rivera and that was followed by a two-run homer off the bat of Curtis Granderson to give NY at 1-0 lead.

Cespedes’ RBI single in the fifth tied it 3-3 to ensure Seth Lugo of his second straight no-decision. Kelly took third on a wild pitch and scored on Cespedes’ well-placed squib through the first-base hole. It marked the rookie’s least effective start since joining the rotation in San Francisco on August 19. He has not allowed an earned run in his last 15 1/3 innings.

Ryan Howard and Cameron Rupp homered on consecutive pitches to start the fifth, putting the Mets in a 3-2 hole. One out later, Reyes hit his shot to right-center to draw the Mets even. They got to Morgan for two in the second. He has 29 homers, including nine in his last 20 games.

“I don’t remember the last time I was that emotional running the bases”, he added.
