Kazakhstan has suspended tourist flights to Egypt, the Interfax news agency reported on Friday, citing the Kazakhstan Tourist Association.
The lack of direct flights is especially hard for those Russians who live in Egypt or own property there.
Moscow said the ban was necessary because of anxieties about security at Egypt’s airports.
Egyptian police have interviewed dozens of airport officials and staff but have so far made no arrests and Mr Fouda said he did not know if detectives had any suspects.
