The 65-year-old former Olympic gold winning athlete was seen enjoying cocktails with the group that included transgender actress Candis Cayne who also attended the ESPYs. They said Hughley’s remarks were cruel, and they called it bullying.

During a recent interview with TMZ, the Original Kings of Comedy star also talked about Caitlyn’s looks.
“Sometimes it gets overwhelming, but with attention comes responsibility”, Caitlyn Jenner said. “It feels like a new day, indeed, when a Tran’s person can present her authentic self to the world for the first time and be celebrated for it so universally (sic)”, Laverne wrote on Tumblr. There have even been claims that the two are dating, with a source reportedly telling the Daily Star that Caitlyn is “smitten” and that “they are a very romantic couple”. In other words, the actor contends that Arthur Ashe, who died at the age of 49 in 1993, and Caitlyn Jenner, 65, had very little in common.
Despite already receiving her award, controversy continues to hound Caitlyn and the decision to give her the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the 2015 ESPYs. “I don’t think it’s the same thing”, Hughley opined.
That opinion is understandable, but then D.L. lapsed into “under the belt” territory, criticizing her appearance.

Shortly after he made his statement, Hughley posted on Twitter a photo showing Jenner at the ESPY’s and a picture of Robin Williams dressed in his iconic role of Mrs. Doubtfire with the caption, “Somebody tell me I’m wrong #TeamDL”, Hughley stated.
