Caitlyn Jenner hit up West Hollywood’s famous gay bar The Abbey on Saturday night with transgender actress Candis Cayne.
While many have applauded ESPN’s decision to award Jenner with the ESPY award, there have been those that have criticised the decision, with many turning to social media to name others who they believe should have been awarded.
Last Wednesday the 65-year-old former Olympian received a standing ovation as she walked on stage to accept the award with a powerful acceptance speech calling on respect for trans people all over the world, putting the spotlight on the struggles they face. “My love & respect to especially these 10 who have demonstrated their integrity, strength & empathy”, she added. “Ok so like I don’t really care about celebrities but Caitlyn Jenner just gave me a hug at the abbey!!” tweeted one patron named “coolkidconnor”. He also said in so many words that Caitlyn certainly did not deserve the award.
Hughley said that Arthur Ashe thrived in “a very segregated profession, he fought AIDS with dignity and honor, and Caitlyn Jenner put on a dress”.
The comedian also harshly quipped that Jenner “looks like every P.E. teacher I’ve ever had”.

He then posted a meme comparing Caitlyn Jenner’s looks to Mrs. Doubtfire. He dared everyone not to say the semblance between the two is uncanny. There have even been claims that the two are dating, with a source reportedly telling the Daily Star that Caitlyn is “smitten” and that “they are a very romantic couple”.
