Caitlyn Jenner Won’t Be Prosecuted For Deadly auto Accident

Reality TV star Caitlyn Jenner reportedly won’t be prosecuted for manslaughter related to February’s fatal vehicle crash because her conduct was “negligent, not criminal”, but Los Angeles’ District Attorney could still overturn that decision.

According to TMZ though, sources say that the people assigned to review Jenner’s case have determined that she displayed negligence, but her actions weren’t criminal.

As previously reported, the accident took place on February 7, 2015, on the Malibu Pacific Coast Highway when Jenner’s Cadillac Escalade and four other cars were involved in a major pileup.

So far, no one has any charged laid, however if one is filed against Jenner, the charge would most likely be misdemeanour-level manslaughter, the detective said, reports Advocate.

A source told the Daily News last month that the Los Angeles County Sherriff’s office will present evidence to prosecutors that Jenner was “traveling at an unsafe speed and was the cause of the collision”.

‘I remember it happening.

“My heartfelt and deepest sympathies go out to the family and loved ones, and to all of those who were involved or injured in this bad accident”, Jenner expressed to Access Hollywood.

Speaking about the fatal crash in a recent interview, the former athlete said she wasn’t speeding at the time of impact.

‘A tragedy like this, you’ll never get over it. You just learn to live with it the best you possibly can’.

She has also said she can’t go into detail as it’s a legal matter. Jenner told Matt Lauer, “The media wants that picture, don’t they?” The driver of the Lexus, 69-year-old Kim Howe, died at the scene. “It is an enormous problem that they would put trans-women in a men’s county jail”.
