Cal QB Jared Goff announces he’s entering the National Football League draft
California Golden Bears quarterback Jared Goff repeatedly flashed his pro potential in the program’s Bear Raid scheme over the past three seasons, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise the junior has chose to declare for the 2016 National Football League draft.

ESPN is reporting what all of us already knew was coming, with Goff ready to declare himself eligibility for the 2016 NFL Draft. Goff is No. 10 on the Big Board of ESPN’s Mel Kiper, who cites Goff’s “special arm”, “good movement” and “anticipation”.
Goff is widely considered to be one of the top two quarterbacks eligible for the draft and is projected as a high first-round pick.
The San Francisco 49ers are now in position for a Top-5 National Football League draft selection in April. He said after the Bears’ 55-36 win over Air Force in the Armed Forces Bowl that he would discuss matters with his parents and have an announcement.
The Cal record books are littered with Goff’s name-in part due to the evolution of the game and coach Sonny Dykes’s system, but also as a testament to Goff’s abilities and skills.
He capped his junior season by completing 25 of 37 attempts for 467 yards with six touchdowns and no interceptions in the Bears’ win over Air Force.

Led by Goff, Cal finished the season with a record of 8-5. Over the course of his collegiate career, Goff has accumulated a total of 12,200 passing yards, 96 touchdowns and 30 interceptions. Follow Jeff Faraudo on Twitter at twitter.com/ Jeff Faraudo.
