Five new actresses are making their debut in Hindi film industry with Calendar Girls. The movie addresses problems confronted by models who pose for calendar pages, that’s, “calendar girls”.

Avani Modi, who makes her presentation in Calendar Girls, was at first astounded when she learnt that she’d be playing a Pakistani young lady who tries to turn into a supermodel in Mumbai. The filmmaker has requested distributors throughout the border to observe the movie earlier than arriving at a choice as it’s not “anti-Pakistan”.
“We are told #CalendarGirls is facing problems for a release in Pakistan because of a dialogue the local distributors saw in the trailer” wrote Madhur Bhandarkar on his twitter account.
“I guarantee every body that #CalendarGirls is not anti-Pak and will not harm any sentiments”.
The film’s trailer gives a glimpse of what all goes behind the glossy life of the calendar girls. “Sincerely pray Censor there watches & gives a go-ahead” Tweeted Madhur. “As any person who’s all the time tackled exhausting-hitting topics sensitively, I earnestly request all distributors in Pak to kindly watch the movie”, Bhandarkar tweeted on Tuesday.

After Phantom was banned in Pakistan, there were rumours that Calendar Girls would meet the same fate. The trailer also featured a protest with people shouting the slogan “Pakistani artist go back”. Co-produced by Sangeeta Ahir and Bhandarkar Entertainment, the film is slated for release on September 25, 2015.
