If you live in Calgary, do NOT ever take Calgary Cab.

One of the men involved posted to Facebook on the weekend that the United Cab driver kicked him out of the taxi and told him he was disgusting for kissing another man in the backseat.

Calgary United Cab manager Naeem Chadry said Tuesday the cab driver in question had been suspended.

“He’s not driving with us”, he said.

Chaudhry said the driver at the centre of the investigation has been with the company for about three months.

His future career will now depend on an investigation led by the city’s Livery Transport Services, which Chadry said is responsible for disciplinary action.

According to a release, the complaint alleged that driver, Stephen Eze, exhibited discriminatory behaviour towards two male passengers.

Potential outcomes of the hearing include additional suspension time, training related to diversity sensitivity and human rights, or a revocation of his licence. “And in this situation our investigation has shown the driver’s actions were neither professional nor courteous”, Henriques explained.

In a statement, Hill said the past few days have been overwhelming.

He said it’s unknown whether United Cabs will allow Eze to return to driving with the company following the Licence Review Hearing.
