In Rochester, New York, 74 people were arrested after officers told the protesters they were blocking the streets, according to the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle. “There will be continued movements and demonstrations until these killings stop. We continue our efforts to bring about a better world for all of us”. “The officers who got killed in Dallas, they’ve got families too”. Others saying peace needs to be found in what some say is a violent time. Some of the officers were shot in the back, police said. But I never hated them.
He said he supported the protesters, adding “they’ve given me a three hour break”. The two-year-old movement essentially espousing non-violence it is going to struggle to channel public anger in constructive ways in a system that has gone awry due to blatant racism. “We can not about bring justice through violence”, said Hood, a pastor.
Black Lives Matter began in 2013 after black teenager Trayvon Martin was shot to death in Florida by one-time community watch volunteer George Zimmerman, who was later acquitted.

Black Lives Matter condemned the Dallas attack, calling it a tragedy not just for those affected but also for the nation.
He wouldn’t speculate on the motives of the shooter, but said: “I think the danger…is that we somehow suggest that an act of a troubled individual speaks to some larger political statement across the country”.

“That does something to the human psyche. I don’t care what colour or ethnicity you are”, he said.
