California police kill man who allegedly stabbed 6 people

Five of the six victims were taken to hospitals and one person was treated and released from the scene, Long Beach Fire Department spokesman Brian Fisk said.

Police shot and killed a man they say stabbed six people near Los Angeles.

Officers responding to an 8:17 p.m. report of a stabbing in the 3200 block of Artesia Boulevard, near Obispo Avenue, learned that several people had been wounded in an attack, Long Beach police spokeswoman Megan Zabel said.

All were transported to a hospital with injuries ranging from superficial to critical wounds.

No information was available about the identity of the victims, Zabel said. The videographer said the identification was provided by a member of the suspect’s family.
