California senator defends Clinton for declining debate
Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders has appointed a leading backer of boycotts against Israel to a spot on the Democratic National Committee group that will write the party’s platform, according to press reports.

Sanders is facing an uphill battle not only nationwide, where Clinton only needs to hold on to her current superdelegates and win 90 more pledged delegates to secure the nomination, but also in California.
As she has for weeks, Clinton avoided all mentions of her primary opponent while campaigning in the state. The candidates need 2,382 to seal the nomination before the convention.
Clinton’s decision to stay out on the trail might be less motivated by concerns about Sanders than those about Donald Trump.
With Californians already voting by mail ahead of the state’s June 7 primary, Bernie Sanders will air a TV ad in the state, asking voters to send Washington politicians “a message they can’t ignore”, his campaign said Tuesday.
Sanders is showing no signs of quitting despite almost impossible odds of overtaking Clinton, who is eager to turn her attention to Republican Donald Trump and the general election in November.
Clinton has won 23 states, while Sanders prevailed in 20. I don’t know… 2008 Hillary Clinton think that you should “be willing to debate anytime, anywhere”.
Fox News said it would host a debate in May, but only Sanders accepted the network’s invitation. Well, Hillary Clinton just declined to debate you before the all important primary in California.
“I think that’s what I kind of bring to the table, is those individuals who have said ‘Don’t give up hope”.
“We believe that Hillary Clinton’s time is best spent campaigning and meeting directly with voters across California and preparing for a general election campaign that will ensure the White House remains in Democratic hands”, Palmieri said.
‘What does it tell us?’ Sanders asked of attracting so many young fans.
“So what! Democracy is messy”, he stated.
The Democratic presidential candidate said he was taken out of context.
California has advantages for both Clinton and Sanders.
“What happens if I win a major victory in California?”
Bernie Sanders, darting across Southern California on Tuesday, used Disney, a company renowned for evoking happiness, to rail against a decidedly bleak topic: economic inequality.

“We aren’t looking anywhere in particular – we are simply making sure everything was counted and it was all added up correctly”, a Sanders adviser says, noting that “how a couple transposed numbers can change the count”. “There are two sides to every issue and I’m sure that Secretary Clinton will have very vigorous proponents of her point of view, as we will have”.
