SAN BERNARDINO, CA – DECEMBER 2, 2015: Evacuated workers pray in a circle on the San Bernardino Golf Course across the street where a mass shooting occurred at the Inland Regional Center on December 2, 2105 in San Bernardino, California.
Law enforcement experts said investigators may well conclude the killers had more than one motivation.
Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, and 27-year-old Tashfeen Malik sprayed up to 75 rounds on Wednesday morning at a social services centre before dying in a gun battle with police.
Police and federal agents for a second day searched a home in neighbouring Redlands, about 7 miles from the massacre at the Inland Regional Center. The yet unidentified man and woman, as well as another man taken into custody are responsible for the death of 14 people and injuring 17 others, but the people of San Bernardino can be rest assured that they will no longer be able to continue their deadly rampage.
Weapons: Authorities said the suspects carried two assault rifles and two semiautomatic handguns, all purchased legally in the US, according to The Associated Press. Rafia Farook said she was forced to move out of her home with three of her children because her husband continually harassed her “verbally and physically and refused to leave the home”, according to the divorce records.
Adam Lankford, a criminal justice professor at the University of Alabama, said his review of mass public shootings in the US indicates this is the first one in recent history to involve a male-female team.
The target was a holiday party being held at a government facility that served people with developmental disabilities. Three pipe bombs were found at the scene of the shooting.
Obama ordered USA flags at the White House and other government buildings to be flown at half-staff through Monday to honor the victims of the shootings.
A third suspect was detained, but police have since said they believe Farook and Malik were the only shooters.
Baccari said his co-worker, who said he was raised on a farm with goats and chickens, was reserved, rarely starting a conversation on his own. Is it work, rage-related?

“I think that based upon what we have seen and based upon how they were equipped, there had to have been some degree of planning that went into this”, said Burguan.
