Calls for USA troops to fight Islamic State misguided, say experts
In another remarkably ill-timed statement, Obama on Thursday – the day before the Paris attacks – told ABC News, “I don’t think (ISIS) is gaining strength” and declared, “We have contained them”.

It remains unclear how far along the Pentagon campaign on Islamic State oil infrastructure is toward achieving US objectives and how much bigger the pool of potential targets might be.
And as Russian Federation launches peace initiative after peace initiative, western leaders push for even more war in the name of “democracy”. Obama called ISIS a “jayvee ” team before they metastasized into a major terrorist army and proceeded to take two-thirds of Iraq and one-third of Syria, Not to mention that Boko Haram is now aligned with them in Nigeria as part of the caliphate. On the morning of the Paris attacks, Obama said ISIS was contained. Has there ever been a more clueless Commander-in-Chief or executive in denial? The group now holds a position not unlike that of al-Qaida in 2001 – a global terrorist outfit that enjoys a secure territorial base and has a proven ability to strike soft targets in the West. When does USA national security trump Obama’s obsession with Muslims?
So what should be done? Should Congress declare war on ISIS? They wish to live in a world where homosexuals are tossed off of buildings to their death. Would Obama be in it to win it? “It’s not entirely clear to me what took so long”. Secondly, all countries should close their borders to Muslim refugees.
This state funding is created to complement federal assistance provided by the U.S. Department of State’s Resettlement Support Center, which oversees refugee immigration into the U.S.
That brings us to what’s mockingly referred to as USA strategy against ISIS.
But the idea doesn’t sit well with Graham, who said the focus should instead be on “fighting radical Islam”. Christian Science Monitor reports that Anonymous claims to have taken down 5,500 Twitter accounts of known ISIS operatives. It has withstood the aerial pounding by US and coalition warplanes, defended its core territories and apparently used its resiliency and social media savvy to replenish its ranks as quickly as they are reduced.
Finally, the U.S and the rest of the west should criminally profile these suspects. Despite new concerns among Americans, the president forcefully defends the vast majority of Muslims.
In light of the terror attacks in Paris, then, Graham is not necessarily making a political calculation in avidly discussing his proposed response.
“We are coming for you with bombs and rifles, wait for us”, shouted one ISIS propagandist.
On Monday, an ISIS video celebrated the attacks in Paris and warned it has America in its sights. The truth is that President Obama doesn’t have a real strategy to defeat ISIS. The next C-I-C must re-establish the strategy of identifying the extremist ideology that motivates this brand of Islam and incorporate this concept back into our counter terrorism training, military and intelligence communities.
“Without a ground component, I don’t see how this works”, Graham said.
The president’s unwillingness to acknowledge the seriousness of the ISIS threat undoubtedly has eroded confidence in his plan to accept up to 65,000 refugees fleeing ISIS-controlled areas of Syria.
Every step of the way, even as President Obama put the brakes on this ugly scenario, Republican leaders fueled the flames of war and aggression in the U.S, led by Senator John McCain, their presidential nominee in 2008, Senator Lindsey Graham and the “Star Wars Bar” array of crazed GOP presidential candidates now stumbling all over each other for attention. It’s not a massive warm front or arctic freeze that’s beheading people. He’s “not interested” in what he sees as mere sloganeering about “American leadership or America winning” that distract him from his strategy.
USA counter-terrorism experts, a few of whom have dealt with Islamic radicalism for decades, cautioned that reducing the Islamic State threat will be a long, complicated process – and that more mass casualty attacks in Europe and North America are likely in the meantime.

“But the Russians are pushing up against a door left open by the Obama administration, which has from day one been framing its efforts in Syria as a battle against [Sunni] ISIS so as to not upset [Shia] Iran”, Badran continued.
