Calvin College rated #1 Midwest regional college
The university was ranked among the top 20 regional public universities in the 2017 Best Colleges rankings released by U.S. News and World Report.

Calvin College also received number one rankings in two subcategories.
Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College is receiving high marks from the US News and World Report. “Our U.S. News ranking and high rankings from Washington Monthly, Forbes, Princeton Review, Money magazine and others add external, data-based validation for the strength of the Northwestern experience to what our graduates and students say”. The regional schools were then divided into North, South, Midwest and West.
GVSU slipped one spot from last year’s ranking, No. 26, of the best schools in the Midwest, but it held steady as the No. 3 top public school in the Midwest.
