Cam Newton answers critics of memorable interview
“You can condemn me and say, “Well, he gave up, ‘ ” Newton said”. The former Colts quarterback won his second Super Bowl on Sunday night as the Broncos beat the Panthers.

Newton said he believes things were “blown out of proportion” by the media. “I would have been mad if I was Cam too, to be able to hear your opponent right behind me talking”, Harris said. Although he said his post-game plans involved “a lot of Budweiser”, Miller joked: “I think he had to rush out to do a Life Alert commercial”.
“All you can find that was interesting – well, the guy that lost acted like a loser, that’s what we got”. Thoughts on his comments? “I don’t dive on one fumble because the way my leg was, it could’ve been contorted in a way”. “So why should we be all smiles when the game is over?”
As if things didn’t go poorly enough for Newton and the Panthers, the post-game press conference was a disaster for him.
Cam Newton has received a ton of heat for the way he handled his postgame press conference after the Super Bowl, and New York Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall feels that the criticism is warranted.
“It’s not a popularity contest, I’m here to win football games”.
Rivera also said he’s excited about the future of the Panthers and hopes the team can learn from the Broncos. “I think that is what happens”. “I still think he has a little bit left in him”. “I am my own person”.
“There are a lot of lessons”, Young said. “I want players who hate to lose”.
“I haven’t talked to him about that”. I said, ‘Why are you guys acting like this? “We all handle defeat differently”. They say Cam’s a thug, they say players on the team are classless. “I have a standard that I set for myself, and I’m not going to bend nor break”.

How many ways is Newton supposed to answer “how disappointed are you?” and explain that, despite repeated attempts to infer otherwise, the Broncos defense played exactly how it had all season – really well.
