Camille Cosby ordered to give deposition
Although Camille Cosby in her motion lamented the potential violation of marital communications and the “shame and embarrassment” of answering questions about her husband’s “alleged infidelities and marital misconduct”, these factors do not outweigh “the potential significance” of her testimony, Hennessy ruled. Camille Cosby has stood by her husband since the beginning of the allegations.

The wife of comedian Bill Cosby has been ordered by a judge to give a deposition to lawyers for seven women accusing him of sexual assault in MA. Cosby is accused of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman at his home in January 2004.
In court papers, prosecutors said there are probably other women who were similarly drugged and violated by Cosby.
Attorneys for Bill Cosby issued a statement following Wednesday’s arraignment.
Cosby is free on $ 1 million bail, and his lawyer has stated the entertainer shouldn’t be responsible and won’t think about a plea discount.
The controversy killed discussions about a new NBC show starring Cosby and prompted cancellations on his concert tour, including a scheduled performance in Santa Rosa. Although a judge originally dismissed the case in 2005, the charges filed Wednesday were the result of new evidence that came forth in July.
In addition to the criminal case and the MA civil case, Cosby also faces defamation and sexual-abuse lawsuits filed in Los Angeles and Pennsylvania.
Her attorneys, who argued in their motion that Mrs. Cosby by law should not be subjected to questions regarding her husband’s “sexual proclivities”, told People magazine that they plan to appeal the ruling. They typically require prosecutors to prove it is directly relevant. We dont want a jury to say, If he did it once before, he must have done it now, said Philadelphia attorney Jeffrey Lindy, who is unconnected to the Cosby case.
But the women who made them could be called at the forthcoming trial, said Gloria Allred, who represents 29 of the accusers.

Cosby later countersued the women, saying they defamed him through their allegations. Others showed scorn, asking: “What about the victims?” and “What “fans”?”
