Another person said Trump is irritated that general election planning in battleground states isn’t further along with less than 100 days until Election Day.

Campaign spokesman Marc Lotter didn’t respond to a request to interview Pence about his relationship with Trump.
“There’s been some cleanup”, said Curt Smith, a longtime Pence friend who runs the socially conservative Indiana Family Institute.
Voters in a number of other swing states feel the same, polls show.
LePage labeled her the “queen of corruption”.
In the past few months, Republican Senate incumbents have generally remained slightly ahead in polls. That earlier move was widely interpreted as Republicans writing off Johnson’s chances against Democrat Russ Feingold, who has led in polls.
Hillary Clinton is criticizing Donald Trump’s use of outsourcing at his companies, part of an effort to undercut the business record that has formed the basis of his presidential pitch. Nearly 83% of GOP respondents in this poll voted in the closed primary, compared to 77% of Democrats.
Coffman starts a new television ad talking about his party’s presidential nominee. “I’ve met people who were destroyed by Donald Trump, so take a look at what he’s done, not what he says”.
Coffman promises that if Trump is elected, “I’ll stand up to him”.
Mike Pence came under harsh questioning at a campaign event. But there’s also a sense of realism within the campaign about the 70 year-old candidate’s seeming inability to change the demeanor that propelled him to his celebrity. He then shifted gears to praise Trump, who he said will “support our military and their families” and “defeat the enemies of our freedom”. That prompted an outburst of laughter from the crowd and led Pence to predict that Matthew will be governor of North Carolina someday. “I thought the comments were … beyond the pale”.
Privately, Trump points to his recent fundraising success, large rallies and decent polling against a seasoned candidate as evidence that his campaign is working well.
The Democratic and Republican presidential campaigns were invited to speak at the conference.
Clinton’s and Trump’s convention speeches highlighted their strengths, but also their weaknesses, and left each with much to prove.
The National Urban League is among the leading national advocacy organizations for African Americans.
Both candidates continue to suffer from challenging unfavorable ratings, though Clinton has made strides improving her marks following the conventions. He says Clinton will focus on bringing jobs to urban areas and investing in infrastructure. Republican Donald Trump’s campaign declined the invitation. The four-day conference has been focusing on issues such as poverty, housing, education and strategies to combat joblessness. Obviously, there was Pence’s pointed endorsement of Paul Ryan yesterday, one day after Trump refused to back the House Speaker.
“We just came out of our convention, and yeah, he’s had a pretty odd run since the convention. You would think we’d ought to be focusing on Hillary Clinton and all of her deficiencies”.
Ryan says it’s “distressing” that that’s not what the conversation is about.
Rep. Adam Kinzinger of IL said the Republican nominee is “beginning to cross a lot of red lines of the unforgivable in politics”.
“Hillary Clinton is leading thanks to southern Florida and women”, David Paleologos, director of the Suffolk University Political Research Center in Boston, remarked on the poll. The poll found that 62% of those who watched the DNC said they were more likely to vote for Clinton. “Some states you can request a ballot by email and in some you can even vote by email”, he said. He said Ryan’s primary rival “is not going to win”, but noted he has supported Trump.
Manafort said that Trump’s dropping poll numbers “were expected” and that he expected the numbers to even out soon. “The framework of this election favors Donald Trump”.
The speaker said it is his duty to speak up against Trump on issues like the Khan family or his criticism of an American-born judge of Mexican descent whom Trump had also attacked. He also didn’t seem particularly concerned about Trump refusing to support him. She’s broadening her message and appealing directly to Republicans to keep him out of the White House.

While Trump has been openly hostile toward members of the media, Pence has struck a conciliatory tone.
