Donald Trump reportedly spoke with NBC News reporter Hallie Jackson after Monday’s rally, criticizing Warren as “a total fraud” and “racist” for claiming to be Native American.

If we continue to do a good job on the quality, and with that, we can demonstrate savings both on capital voids, but also cost savings in our services, then I think we’ll be just fine …
His comments were made June 8, according to the Intercept, which was about two weeks before Mother Jones released a damning inside look at his very corporation. At one point, Warren stopped her speech to turn and applaud Clinton, a former secretary of state. “And I actually think Bernie’s leverage at the convention is strengthened if he acknowledges he’s going to support Hillary, because he comes to that convention with over 1,800 delegates”. She called attention to gun violence in America’s third-largest city, including over 60 people shot during the Memorial Day weekend.
The strategy is driven by a number of polls which show Clinton’s struggling with honesty and trustworthiness in the eyes of the voters.
In a statement, Trump called Warren “a sellout” for backing Clinton, who has taken donations from Wall Street interests and once backed the Trans-Pacific Partnership, the Asian trade deal.
Elizabeth Warren offered an impassioned endorsement of Hillary Clinton on Monday, vouching for her as someone who could be trusted to fight for workers and fend off Donald Trump.
Taking the microphone in Ohio, Clinton said she liked Warren’s aggressive approach to her Republican rival, who has sprayed rivals and critics with insults throughout his campaign. “That’s what Donald Trump has identified, that’s what Brexit identified, and that’s what’s going to be the basis for the election in 2016”.
She’s taken his hits in return: He blasted her as “Pocahontas”, Republicans claim Warren fabricated Native American ancestry to help boost her legal career. Planned Parenthood, which has endorsed Hillary Clinton, is viewed positively by 48%.
“We’re up against a man with risky, incoherent ideas for our future”, Clinton said.
Warren is a darling of liberals in the Democratic Party and considered a possible running mate for Clinton. “You’ve got to earn it”, Clinton said.
Warren’s tough assault is valued by Clinton, who aides say particularly appreciates surrogates that don’t mince words in their attacks. Former Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.), who lost his Senate seat to Warren in 2012, was similarly skeptical, and said Warren ought to take a DNA test and release her records from Harvard University and the University of Pennsylvania, where she taught. She’s now being vetted by lawyers involved in Clinton’s vice presidential search, and they’ve asked Warren for documents and to complete a questionnaire. A ticket with two women could also invite criticism, and Warren could turn off the independents or moderate Republicans Clinton is trying to attract. The scandal almost derailed her campaign.

Clinton has been under fire for the use of a private email server while serving as secretary of State, an issue that has been political fodder for Trump and Republicans during the campaign.
