Campsite evacuated as blaze destroys cars at BoomTown Fair
The fire was brought under control shortly before 6pm but festival-goers were told to keep clear of the scene. The West Car Park will remain closed until the investigations by the fire and police services have been concluded.

More than 30 firefighters were called to the scene after the blaze took hold in the west vehicle park. A Police helicopter was called into check no other vehicles were involved in the auto park as it spread.
A campsite has been evacuated at the BoomTown Fair Festival following a fire in the auto park which has hit at least 14 vehicles.
Areas close to the fire within the festival were evacuated as precaution.
A Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “A significant fire has broken out affecting 14 vehicles”.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service, were immediately called to attend to the incident.
It’s not the first time that the festival has hit the head lines when Ellie Rowe, 18, died in 2015 after taking the class C drug ketamine at the BoomTown Fair. No one has been reported as injured.

BoomTown fair has 23 main stages and has been going since 2009 at its site in Winchester.
