Can Trump make amends for insulting the Khans?
Ghazala Khan, mother of the slain soldier Capt. Humayun Khan, also had a message for Trump, who has proposed banning Muslim immigration from countries with a record of terrorism: “I think he doesn’t know Islam”.

During an episode of the long-running series “The 700 Club” that ran on Tuesday, Robertson argued that Trump should focus on the economy instead, saying, “the Lord has handed Mr. Trump a gift of 1.2 percent GDP growth, which is absolutely pathetic and terrible”. The Fox News host claimed that by doing so, the candidate gave the liberal media exactly what they wanted.
The identities of the individuals Trump met with were not known.
“I ask Donald Trump, ‘Have you no sense of decency, Sir?'” Buffett said.
“If you look at his wife, she was standing there”, Trump told ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos.
He called it “common sense” that if “there’s some little Muslim woman who loses her son”, he shouldn’t insult her. No exceptions.
For Donald Trump, it’s become a familiar pattern.
“Quite frankly their sacrifice is unparalleled by anything Donald Trump’s ever done and their sacrifice should be honoured”, Mr Williams said.
During the interview, Khan, who has roots in Pakistan, said that he had opposed the USA invasion of Iraq in 2003.
“We want to get several member statements out today on this, and would really appreciate your help”, Rob Wasinger, who is working for the Trump camp, wrote in an email to U.S. Senate aides, according to Reuters.
Trump responded to the impassioned speech by calling out the Khan family for viciously attacking him.
Though Obama’s comments to veterans in Atlanta on Monday afternoon didn’t mention Trump by name, the President seemed to offer support to Khan’s perspective.
“In the end, I am morally bound to speak only to the things that command my allegiance, and to which I have dedicated my life’s work: the Republican Party, and more importantly, the United States of America”.
Trump also suggested that Ghazala Khan did not speak at the convention because of her Muslim faith.
During the past few days, we have heard the term “Gold Star” family probably more than any time in our recent history.
In a statement, Democratic chairpersons from eight counties said Collins’ remarks showed that “there are no depths to which Mr. Trump can sink that (Collins) will not gladly follow”.
In a response issued by his campaign, Collins said it’s “no surprise local Democrats are carrying the water for Hillary Clinton” by trying to politicize the Khans’ tragedy.
