Details of how Driver died have not been released.

In Strathroy, resident Irene Lee said late Wednesday that since about 4:15 p.m., police had been camped outside the home where Driver lived.
Driver became known to authorities in June 2015 and was investigated over potential terror links.
Two days later, a 32-year-old killed a ceremonial guard then tried to storm Canada’s parliament before being shot dead by security guards only metres from a room where the prime minister and his caucus were meeting.
Driver’s former lawyer, Leonard Tailleur, denied there was evidence that Driver was directly affiliated with ISIS or any other terrorist organization.
The RCMP said it had received credible information of a potential terror threat in a major Canadian city, identified a suspect and taken action to ensure there was no danger to the public.
Driver’s lawyer and the Crown agreed in February to a peace bond, stating there were “reasonable grounds” to fear that he may participate or contribute in the activity of a terrorist group. The information was from a source with knowledge of the police takedown who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter.
Driver was also banned from going on the Internet or having any communication with the Islamic State group, including having any object on his person that bore an Islamic State group logo. He also was ordered to wear a Global Positioning System tracking device at all times.
The restrictive bail conditions – requiring constant surveillance in the absence of a criminal charge – drew criticism from legal rights groups.
A man has been killed by police responding to a terror threat in southern Ontario, Canada. “Saddened to hear that it had to end this way for him”, he wrote.
Police told the family they had to shoot Driver because he had another device and planned to detonate it.
“We can confirm a police operation took place in Strathroy yesterday, where a suspect was fatally shot by our officers”, RCMP spokeswoman Annie Delisle said in an email.
After his Liberals unseated the Tories in a general election past year, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau scaled back Canada’s participation in the coalition, ordering the withdrawal of Canadian fighter jets but increasing the number of military trainers in Iraq.
Canada was the target of two separate lone wolf attacks in October 2014 in Quebec and Ottawa that resulted in the death of two soldiers.

Canada’s public safety minister, Ralph Goodale, said the national terrorism threat to Canada still remains at “medium”, where it has remained since 2014.
