Iran’s economy suffered greatly under the sanctions which targeted its nuclear and financial systems.

“Be careful that the other side fully meets its commitments”.
“During the 10-12 years that they created the fabricated case, we lost the opportunities for technical cooperation with the IAEA”, Salehi said, speaking in a joint press conference with Amano.
However, the Iranian government quickly understood that “the terms of the agreement included her”, said Kerry.
Iran drew condemnation from the United States and other Western powers for two ballistic missile tests late previous year said to violate U.N. Security Council resolutions.
“I am thankful for our president and all of the hard work by the White House and State Department in making this happen”, said Abedini, who has appeared with U.S. Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz, a U.S. senator and a harsh critic of the Iran nuclear deal.
The United States announced last Sunday the imposition of limited sanctions against 11 companies and individuals which supplied materials and funds for Iran’s ballistic missile program. Reuters reported that hardline Iranian newspapers, Kayhan and Vatan-e-Emrooz, headlined the new sanctions overshadowing the announcement by President Hassan Rouhani of the lifting of nuclear sanctions.
The US dropped charges against 7 Iranians in the US and another 14 outside the country as part of the deal. The new measures also came after the lifting of far more comprehensive nuclear sanctions.
The president pointed out that a priority will be given to countries that continued to trade with Iran despite the economic sanctions.
A fifth American national, student Matthew Trevithick, was released separately from the prisoner swap and has returned to the United States. The next budget starting in March is based on a projected oil price of $40 per barrel price and exports of 2.25 million barrels per day.
Under July’s deal, Iran’s nuclear activities will be severely constrained and remain under strict oversight for the next decade, but Tehran will then be able to scale up its production of nuclear fuel.
“Even if a day comes when there is no NPT (Non-Proliferation Treaty), safeguard or inspection by the IAEA, Iran is morally and religiously committed not to seek weapons of mass destruction”, Rouhani said.

They include slashing by two-thirds its uranium centrifuges, reducing its stockpile of uranium – which before the deal, was enough for several bombs – and removing the core of its Arak reactor, which could have given Iran weapons-grade plutonium.
