These people, along with the royal couple’s children Prince George and Princess Charlotte, will reportedly accompany them as they fulfill 30 royal engagements on their week-long Canadian tour.
The trip marks the first overseas jaunt for 1-year-old Princess Charlotte.
The varied tour will see them visit the likes of Vancouver – a bustling global city with a population of 2.5m – to the remote and idyllic surroundings of Bella Bella, which is home to less than 2,000 people.
The royal couple fly in from Victoria and head toward Jack Poole Plaza and the Olympic Cauldron.
Whether or not the royal mom recycles any of her outfits from her tour of Canada in 2011 remains to be seen, but no doubt she will follow in Queen Elizabeth’s sartorial footsteps and wear the national color of Canada, at least once.
For the rest of the week…
‘The Duchess of Cambridge will visit the Netherlands on October 11 for a day of official engagements in the Hague and Rotterdam, ‘ a tweet from Kensington Palace revealed.
“We’re very proud of the fact we’ve been very strong in land stewardship and protection of the Great Bear Rainforest”, she said.
“Sophie and I look forward to showcasing lovely British Columbia and to promoting awareness of both youth and mental health issues alongside their royal highnesses”.
On Sunday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are scheduled to visit Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, one of Canada’s most impoverished neighbourhoods and tour Sheway, a program that helps mothers with addiction problems care for their children as well as a visit to an immigrant centre where they are expected to meet newly-arrived Syrian refugees.
Yet, Kate Middleton and Prince William love to be treated as though they are Hollywood stars.
They will be staying at the Government House in Victoria, which is the Queen’s official residence in Canada.
At Haida Gwaii, on the province’s northern coast, the royals will embark on a sea-going canoe trip from historic Skidegate Landing to the Haida Heritage Centre and Museum.
They will receive an official welcome at the British Columbia Parliament Buildings in Victoria after their arrival and later meet with senior Canadian leaders at Government House where they will be based for their visit. After all, they are one of the most photographed couples in the world and every move they make stir headlines the next day.
