During the last Paralympic Games in London, Great Britain won 34 gold medals over 11 days.

When Paralympics GB’s 23 bronze medals are added to the tally, the team now has a total of 75 medals.
US wheelchair racer Tatyana McFadden of Clarksville earned her second gold medal of the Rio Paralympics with a win Tuesday in the women’s 1,500-meter T54.
Her first two medals were in handcycling, but in 2013 she was looking for a new challenge and took up rowing with the encouragement and support of the Guildford Rowing Club. “I just need to be happy that I am fortunate enough to represent my country at three Paralympic Games”. Millward, who made her Paralympic debut in Beijing, was a promising able-bodied swimmer before developing multiple sclerosis. “I am a reflection of the friends I grew up with and my family, who happen to be some of the best people and brightest spirits on earth”.
Rivard, who was born with an underdeveloped left hand, claimed Canada’s first gold medal of the Games when she won the 50 freestyle in a world record time.
“Of course her performances were really inspiring for us. we loved to see her perform like that and win”, she said.
“We took the chair back on the bus – I’ve been doing some training in the village – and unfortunately the bus driver fell over it”.
The Iranian delegation finished in 11th place in the previous edition, winning 10 gold medals, seven silvers and seven bronze medals.
“It’s a dream come true”.
Paralympics GB also have 18 silver medals to their name, with Ollie Hynd storming through and finishing second in the men’s 100m S8 backstroke – achieving a personal best and a British record in the process.

The men’s team lost 6-3 to Sweden to finish at 1-3 in round robin and will play Lithuania on Wednesday. I knew I would be able to accelerate at 900m and again at the 950m mark if I stuck to my plan.
