Mr Trudeau, the 43-year-old son of former prime minister Pierre Trudeau, vaulted from third place to lead the polls in the final days of the campaign, overcoming Conservative attacks that he is too inexperienced to govern.

Shortly after the Liberal’s stunning election win on Monday, three different petitions started to make the rounds, asking Trudeau to give the Saanich-Gulf Island MP the high-profile cabinet post.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Trudeau will be present at the climate-change conference in Paris in his goal to gain new understanding regarding environmental issues.

Trudeau, the second-youngest prime minister in the country’s history, ran on the Liberal Party ticket.
“So the Liberal Party is committed to legalizing and regulating marijuana, controlling it in a way that is going to protect our kids and remove criminal elements from it, “Trudeau said“.
As the newly-elected party prepares to form a government, Canada’s largest unions have already pledged to hold the majority to their labour-related promises.
The Conservatives become the new official opposition after winning 99 seats, down from 166 four years ago.
The NDP won 103 seats in the 2011 federal election but came away with just 44 seats last night.
Trudeau had also promised during the campaign that his first order of business when Parliament resumed would be to cut income taxes for middle-class earners.

However, unlike Obama, Trudeau had instant name recognition. In areas where he may be lacking, he can show true leadership by listening to the people and by making collective, informed decisions with the more experienced members of his cabinet.
