Saul “Canelo” Alvarez is more than ready if Conor McGregor decides to take up boxing. The brewing feud led to speculation that McGregor could end up facing Alvarez in a boxing match. As he continues to talk about the next options after defeating Nate Diaz at UFC 202, many are watching just to see what he can pull off for the future. It was viewed as a diss to Canelo’s decision to move up in weight and face middleweight boxing superstar Gennady Golovkin in a super fight.
At the same time, McGregor shared his frustration with the likes of Canelo for “cherry-picking” their opponents. Nobody looks up a division. “When you look at this Canelo situation, it’s an era of cherry picking”, McGregor told theLos Angeles Times.
