‘The next thing I know a tree broke and fell on her and I came and I just ran at it, trying to lift her out of there, and nearly couldn’t.
Kaleigh was excited to be out playing in the snow Nicholas told WCVB. The branch had been removed and a neighbor was giving the child CPR when police arrived.
“She was running out and was saying, ‘Daddy, let’s build a snowman, ‘” Nicholas said.
After her death, the page was updated to indicate that money raised would go to help the family cover funeral expenses.
Kaleigh Kenyon was transported in critical condition to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton.
Heavy, wet snow was reported across Massachusetts Friday, and earlier in the day Canton police warned residents to stay inside because of the falling limbs. “They were over here in a snap”, said Nicholas.

“Numerous trees and branches are coming down, creating an extremely unsafe situation”, the alert read. In the same community, a downed power line caused flames to burst out through the snow.
