Celebrating its 20 year anniversary, the Resident Evil series has hit 66 million sales in games at this point of the series’ life cycle.
In the video, Kobayashi reflects on his work with the franchise and how he’s seen it change over the years.
One of the things Resident Evil did so incredibly well was the ambience. He then went on to thank fans of the series for their support, saying: “I never thought I’d still be working on the series 20 years later”.
It’s an interesting video, giving us a good look at how the games were developed, including its controversial shift towards action with Resident Evil 6. Ada Wong, Resident Evil’s very own femme fatale, dives into a thrilling campaign of intrigue and infiltration, featuring unique missions, gameplay and weapons.

That’s right, it’s been 20 years since we entered the dark, zombie-infested hallways of Resident Evil (or Biohazard, as it’s known in Japan). The multiplayer-focused Resident Evil: Umbrella Corps is set to launch in May, though there is still no news regarding the long-awaited Resident Evil 7. Next for Resident Evil will be the release of RE 6 for Xbox One and PS4 next week.
