Capcom Reveals New Gameplay Footage for ‘Umbrella Corps’

In the video, you will get a look at the chargeable brainer axe, zombie jammer and of course zombies. The teams are playing in One Life Match mode, where they must work together quickly to wipe out the other team without the ability to respawn. There was no demonstration provided of whether voice chat will be built-in to the title, but a wide variety of in-game commands to set up a plan with teammates was demonstrated. With Mr. Kawata asking fans to stay tuned and saying they’re not at liberty to talk about it, it could be taken as somewhat of a confirmation of the game’s development. Classic FPS sneak melee attacks will also be rewarded with quick kills.

So, there you have it: no Resident Evil 7 news yet, but it may be coming soon.

Aside from expansions and a free-to-play spinoff, however, Capcom have not really expanded it into a franchise.

Resident Evil 6 has received mixed reviews from critics garner a score of 3.5/5 from Metacritic, 4.5/10 from Gamespot and 7.9/10 from IGN. It’s hard to say whether this title will fare any better, though this game will probably have little pull with long-time Resident Evil fans, and may appeal to the FPS crowd instead.

Hurrah! Resident Evil news that doesn’t relate to another HD remake/collection!

The Resident Evil franchise has received criticism for being more action-based rather than horror.
