‘Captain America: Civil War’ starts summer with sizzling $181.8 million

Marvel and Disney’s production Captain America: Civil War crosses the limit of $181.8 million only in North America.

It’s the biggest opening yet for a Captain America film, absolutely trouncing Captain America: The Winter Soldier’s USA opening weekend of $95 million in 2014 and demolishing Captain America: The First Avenger’s debut gross of $65 million. Captain America is also become the best opening of 2016 till now, before this The Jungle Book opening was considered as the highest opening of the 2016 but Captain America break all records of 2016 on the Box Office.

Why did the “Avengers” movies and “Captain America: Civil War” sell more tickets than any other Marvel movies for their opening weekends?

Time will tell Civil War continues to pull in audiences past the weekend, but all signs are indicating that Marvel’s got another hit on its hands.

“The Huntsman: Winter’s War” was fourth at $3.6 million, and “Keanu” was fifth with $3 million in expected sales by the close of business tonight.
