‘Captain America: Civil War’ Will Tease ‘Thor: Ragnarok,’ Says Marvel Star

And so, perhaps it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to hear from Jaimie Alexander, who plays Sif in the Thor movies, that Captain America: Civil War will start to lay the groundwork for Thor: Ragnarok.

And according to actress Jaimie Alexander, Lady Sif will be a vital part of Thor: Ragnarok. “Because they know I’ll be like, ‘So here’s what’s gonna happen, ‘” said Alexander in an interview with Los Angeles Times.

As pointed out in a report by Cinema Blend, most of the press have been building up around “Captain America: Civil War” which is set to divide the world of superheroes while also introducing a new Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and many new characters to the fold such as Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman). The “Blindspot” actress certainly has an idea about the plot but remained mum about it as she jokingly said she would not spill or else she will get shot. While Lady Sifs character has never exactly proven to be comical, exploring her backstory, and her prior relationship with Thor, may give the franchise the boost it needs. “There’s just all kind of Easter eggs and hunts, if you’re really paying attention”. Theyre so good at interweaving everything throughout those films. Case in point: One of the weakest parts of Avengers: Age of Ultron was Thor’s vision quest storyline, which had little to do with the main narrative and was clearly just shoehorned in to 1) give marquee star Chris Hemsworth something to do and 2) set up future movies.

In the comics, Thor discovers that the mold that made Mjolnir still exists and could be used to make weapons for evil.

Loki creates an army, leading to hostilities and warfare that do not only break Thor’s hammer but destroy Asgard. Thor, seeking the wisdom of Odin, learns about Those Who Sit Above in Shadow and maybe, kinda dies.

It’s amusing to hear Alexander talking about her inability to keep Marvel’s secrets, but it’s great to hear that Lady Sif will have a large role in Thor: Ragnarok, which will hit theaters November 3, 2017.
