Cardinals’ “Hail Larry” trumps Rodgers’ Hail Mary

The Green Bay Packers and the Arizona Cardinals face off on Saturday Night Football in the NFL Playoffs 2016 with a place in the Conference Championships on the line.

It’s one of those games that you’ll look back on and be able to remember where you were while watching.

At the overtime midfield coin toss, Aaron Rodgers called tails.

It was Fitzgerald’s backbreaking 75-yard catch and run, however, that spoiled things for the Packers. He was tackled at the 5.

While he was overshadowed by fellow wideout Larry Fitzgerald, Floyd’s knack for making every catch count stood out Saturday and was key to the victory. “Most teams would have probably played prevent and that’s what [defensive coordinator James Betcher] was going to play and I said, ‘Hell no, let’s blitz him.’ And he made a great throw”. I am going to say that the Packers versatility in the run game will ultimately make a massive difference and give the edge to the Packers offense here – despite the previous rollicking. “You play this game to win Super Bowls”.

Green Bay forced overtime in scarcely believable fashion.

Rodgers, in a play reminiscent of his final-play heave against Detroit this season, took the snap with 5 seconds to go in regulation, scrambled around and heaved it 41 yards to the end zone. “Before that, they blew us out”, Rodgers said.

– Chandler Catanzaro, Cardinals, kicked two field goals in Arizona’s 26-20 overtime win over Green Bay.

Still, if the Packers could hold Arizona to a field goal, Rodgers would get another chance with the ball in his hands.

The Arizona Cardinals (13-3) are coming from a bye after a disappointing 36-6 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in the final week of the regular season.

The 2014 seventh-round pick, in the game because of injuries to Davante Adams and Randall Cobb, out-leaped five-time Pro Bowler Patrick Peterson and came down with the unbelievable 41-yard touchdown reception.

Palmer recorded 349 yards passing for three touchdowns to offset two interceptions. It went four-and-out after head coach Mike McCarthy made a decision to go for it from the Packers 25, and the Cardinals added a field goal to their lead.

Janis finished with career-high totals of seven receptions and 145 yards. For the second time this season, the Packers completed a Hail Mary on the last play of the fourth quarter.

With award season in full effect, tonight’s divisional match-up between Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers and Arizona’s Carson Palmer was exactly that: award worthy. “I think it was No. 83 (Janis)”. All in all, it was a dominant performance from the men in red who were swarming around Packers players all day.

“My damn jaw was on the ground”.
