Cardinals take care of old vets, give Palmer and Fitzgerald extensions
Carson Palmer and Larry Fitzgerald have each signed one year extensions with the Arizona Cardinals. I could be wrong – and if the Cardinals were to win a Super Bowl, I’d guess the temptation would be there – but if Fitz comes anywhere close to posting similar numbers as a year ago while the team can win, I’d guess he fulfills the 2017 portion of his deal. The Cardinals announced the deal on their official website.

Fitzgerald, a nine-time Pro Bowler, had a career-best 109 receptions last season – which was also a franchise record – for 1,215 yards and nine touchdowns. In the NFC Division Game against the Green Bay Packers, he would turn a short pass into a 75-yard gain on the first play of overtime.
The 32-year-old Fitzgerald, one of Palmer’s favorite targets at wideout, also received a one-year extension of his own. The team essentially restructured his deal to help lower a cap hit that was set to be $23.6 million last season, per ESPN.com’s Josh Weinfuss.
Since drafting him No. 3 overall in the 2004 NFL Draft, Fitzgerald has been the star receiver that they hoped he would be.
The veteran quarterback and wide receiver received one-year extensions.
The Cardinals are built to win now. With the help of head coach Bruce Arians, both Fitzgerald and Palmer have enjoyed a career renaissance.
Even though Fitzgerald is no longer the home run threat he was in his prime, previous year was evidence that he can still be an impact player on an elite team.

Fantasy Impact: Fitzgerald is entering his 13th season in the National Football League and is considered the No. 1 wide receiver on the Arizona Cardinals.
