Cardinals WR Floyd has surgery on fingers
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Floyd reportedly suffered three dislocated fingers in practice on Wednesday and is expected to miss 3-5 weeks. He also posted a photo on Instagram from a hospital bed with his left hand and forearm bandaged.

Floyd is coming off of a 47 reception, 841 yard, six touchdown season and had high hopes of returning to his 1,000 yard-plus self with Carson Palmer back under center. After missing the rest of training camp and all of the preseason it may make sense for the Cardinals to keep Floyd out for a game, with an eye toward him being at full strength from Week 2 on.
With Floyd out, third-year receiver John Brown is expected to see more passes opposite aging star Larry Fitzgerald.
The official Cardinals website says Floyd’s timeline for recovery puts his status for the season opener in doubt.

The Cardinals have stated exclusively that he injured his left hand. The good thing is the reports seemed to trend toward the lesser numbers, so maybe Floyd doesn’t have to miss any regular season time.
