Carli Lloyd for the $10 bill?

By the time she was finished, millions of Women’s World Cup final viewers hadn’t even turned on the game yet.

“I think the US came out with a bigger spark than Japan, which gave them the confidence to finish off their shots and take risks early in the game”. Lloyd became the first to score a hat trick in a Women’s World Cup Final and her first goal (scored in the third minute) was the fastest in a Women’s World Cup Final.

The Americans put themselves in the history books to be the only team to win three World Cup titles. The telecast averaged 25.4 million viewers and peaked at 30.9 million.

Gainesville, Fl.– The US Women’s World Cup team hit a new record high for ratings in the United States last night after beating Japan 5-2 after a brutal loss four years ago.

Other matches which received significant traffic were Japan’s last-minute victory over England on an own-goal and Germany’s victory over France on penalty kicks.

“There’s that ad that’s out right now that’s like ‘play like a girl.’ Well, right now, you’re proud to play the girl because we won”, said Craft.

“It was fantastic because I love playing soccer and U.S.is my favorite team”, she said.

The seven combined goals in Sunday’s match are the most ever in a Women’s World Cup final.

“I want to thank my teammates, especially Carli Lloyd, for scoring all of the goals this tournament”, joked 35-year-old Abby Wambach, the 2012 Federation Internationale de Football Association Player of the Year who was a reserve for this year’s World Cup.

Once again New Jersey resident and Rutgers graduate Carli Lloyd, was the woman of the hour and was more than ready for the challenges presented by the World Cup.

“That’s when it kind of stuck with me”, she said.

But they also suffered from a familiar foe as Lloyd added to the two goals she scored against Japan in the 2012 Olympic final between the two teams.
