Carly Simon reveals man behind ‘You’re So Vain’
Simon said the second verse of her infamous song “You’re So Vain” was about Warren Beatty. Simon, 70, told People magazine that at least part of the song refers to actor Warren Beatty. Simon has been romantically linked to Mick Jagger, Kris Kristofferson, Jack Nicholson, Cat Stevens, and James Taylor (the last of whom she was actually married to), among others.

One of music’s most long-standing mysteries has finally been solved – sort of. “I bet in many more cases than we know about there is”, she exclaimed.
The infamous “You’re So Vein” singer, Carly Simon, exclusively reveals that she had sexual encounters when she was just seven-years-old.
She told People she thought she’d never even admit that the song was about multiple people, so good luck getting her to reveal who the other two men are. At 70-years-old Carly looks wonderful and she appears to be one of those people who don’t become unrecognizable with age, you would know her anywhere!
Of course, it’s not the only song with a mystery subject. The singer goes on to joke that although only a portion of the song is a reference to the Oscar victor, “Warren thinks the whole thing is about him!”
The last third of her book is devoted to her years (1972-1983) with Taylor, with whom she has a daughter, Sally, and a son, Ben. But will she ever reveal who was strategically dipping his hat below one eye?
And like Carly’s “You’re So Vain”, another song with vague lyrics about a relationship gone bad is Alanis Morissette’s 1995 hit, “You Oughta Know”.

Simon’s memoir is due on November 24, 2015.
