Carmelo Anthony Face-Palms Steph Curry As Defense

In an attempt to slow down the best shooter in the game, Carmelo Anthony extended his hand out and placed it on Curry’s forehead while guarding the Golden State Warriors star on the perimeter but ended up accidentally leaving a deep, red scratch along Curry’s forehead. Draymond Green finished with 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Williams got revenge when he sank a buzzer-beating 3-pointer from the right corner to pull the Knicks within 55-49 at halftime.

So while the Knicks (23-27) limited Curry, they had no answer for Klay Thompson, who finished with 34 points on 14-of-18 shooting. Curry actually made the shot after the play, but it didn’t count. The Warriors had a lackluster first half. Green said as he placed one of his hands on his forehead. Helluva player. I was just trying to figure out a way how you can stop him.

Golden State took a 7-0 lead as the Knicks looked jittery and started 0 for 7 with four turnovers. He didn’t return until 8:00 left in the second quarter and scored a relatively quiet seven points in the half.

It was fun in the first quarter when the Knicks forced the Warriors into their worst first quarter performance of the season but eventually the NBA Champions figured it out. Curry, who had only 13 points on 5-for-17 shooting, admitted that Anthony’s hands-on approach cut him. Warriors just doing Warriors’ things, nothing NY could have done about it…
