Carmelo Anthony pleased with New York Knicks’ additions

Carmelo Anthony is no stranger to taking shots at his own fans on social media.

“I’ve always had a love/hate relationship with the Knicks since I left here”.

Anthony and Afflalo were former teammates and played two seasons together with the Denver Nuggets.

“But (Robin) Lopez is a great addition”.

By “their guy, ‘ Aldridge was referring to fourth overall pick Porzingis, the 7-foot-3, 19-year-old Latvian slotted for time at power forward”. It breeds an incredible amount of distrust, as we saw when Clyde made an innocent comment about Melo probably not wanting to stick around for a rebuild, which turned into days of “Melo wants out; what can the Knicks get for him” rumors.

There has been much speculation this summer about how committed Anthony is to a Knicks franchise that is clearly rebuilding. Whatever rumours that you guys heard about me or about Phil [Jackson], about Porzingis, about anybody.

Shortly after the draft, ESPN and different retailers reported that Anthony expressed displeasure with the workforce’s determination to draft Porzingis.

“He’s a down-to-earth guy, a humble guy”, Anthony said. “You can tell that he’s got a chip on his shoulder, which I love that….” Winning is all that is remembered, especially in New York. He was one of the top free agents a year ago.

In the wake of the Porzingis reports, there had been more talk even yet that it would not be long before Anthony commands his exit from the Big Apple. “I’m excited about the new team that we have and I look forward to leading them”.

Afflalo added that Anthony is happy he is with the Knicks and is a big reason as to why he ended up with the team.

In response to a fan questioning how much he cared about the game, Anthony wrote, “Shows how little you know about me”.

“I never said that s***”.

That’s a problem for Anthony, a 31-year-old coming off perhaps the most disappointing season of his lengthy career. The 12-year veteran is not expected to play in the scrimmage in Las Vegas, as he’s still rehabbing from a February surgery to fix a patella injury.
