Boeheim also told the Daily News that he hopes the Knicks put more pieces around Anthony to try and win a championship because he knows all-too-well what that means if you don’t.

“Me and Phil talked about that a long time ago”, Anthony said.

In Boeheim’s eyes, Anthony would have helped his championship aspirations if he left the Big Apple and went to another squad that wanted to bring him in – the Chicago Bulls. As the Daily News reported, the Knicks wanted Aldridge to play the unfamiliar position of center to free up minutes at power forward for rookie Kristaps Porzingis.
