Carolina Panthers beat Arizona Cardinals 49-15 in NFC Championship

The Panthers return to the NFC Title game for the first time in a decade and the fourth time in franchise history as they’ll face off with the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday night.

The Panthers are driving and about to score to ice the game with just over five minutes left in the game. The Cardinals got the ball back after forcing a Carolina punt, but Palmer ended up throwing an interception in the end zone, Arizona’s fifth turnover of the game.

Newton capped a 12-yard touchdown run with the Superman leap to bump the Carolina lead to 34-7.

It will be only the second Super Bowl appearance for the Panthers in the team’s 21-season history.
