Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis has vowed to play in Sunday’s game at Levi’s Stadium despite breaking his right forearm in the NFC Championship game. He underwent surgery the next day to have a plate and about a dozen screws inserted into his arm.
Rivera said Friday “we are pleased with what we got from both of those guys”. “The only last hurdle obviously is the conversation I have to have with the doctors just to make sure and that they’re feeling comfortable”. “Come watch me play in the Super Bowl-from my own couch!” reads the Airbnb listing, which a company rep confirmed to Thrillist was indeed real.
Outside of the injured reserve players, no one else will miss Super Bowl 50.
Davis ranked second on the Panthers with 105 total tackles during the regular season, third with 5.5 sacks and led the team with four caused fumbles while earning first-team All-Pro honors for the first time in his career. His availability for the Super Bowl immediately became a major story, given his importance to the NFL’s sixth-ranked defense. Speaking to Charlotte Observer reporter Jonathan Jones after the Panther’s Wednesday practice, Davis said he “took every opportunity that I could to bump it against something and really see how it feels”.
The Panthers’ Twitter account provided the update on the defender’s status for the postseason finale when he was not listed among the team’s inactive players.

“When you think about a guy that was able to go out and play a football game with a broken leg, that’s way different than playing with a broken arm”. I would go right to his knees.
